My son was married in Aruba, May 2011. As a family, both sides, we all stayed at the MVC Eagle Beach hotel. We had a wonderful time the week we were there. Our rooms were clean and the hospitality of the motel and restraint staff could not be any better.

With the bus stop in front of the hotel you could get any where you wanted and they stopped every 20 minutes. Where ever we went on the island we felt safe and welcomed.

Across the street, a two minute walk, the silky white sand was the best. The sunsets from the balcony in front of our room
were magnificent.

My husband and I will go back and stay again. Maybe for our own anniversary next year!

Only suggestion is to schedule one day to stay around the hotel and relax. So many day trips and things to do. Remember to relax one day by the pool or on the beach.

Just returned from a 5-night stay in this little gem of a hotel! I traveled with a friend and for 86 dollars a night, we had essentially two rooms and shared a large bathroom with double sinks and separate toilet and separate shower. One room had a large, king-sized bed and the other, two twins. The rooms are old but sparkling clean and very comfortable. There is a table and two chairs outside every guestroom door.

Now for some specifics. We had read many reviews and some were not so flattering for this hotel. We had read about arriving after 3pm and having to pick up keys inside the restaurant. We did arrive after the office had closed, but in order to get to our room anyway, we had to walk through the restaurant where we were met by Juan who handed us an envelope with our keys. No problem at all. Juan is wonderful and always greets everyone with "one happy island"! The next morning, we stopped by the office, which is right outside the restaurant, and formally checked in on the way to the beach with Christy. Christy greeted us each morning with a smile and any questions we had, was more than willing to assist! She made calls so we could do all the activities we wanted with no hassle what-so-ever! She is amazing.

The restaurant is great and the staff, outstanding. Pauleti (sorry if I misspelled your name) was fabulous, friendly and so very helpful. The morning breakfast buffet was well balanced and yummy. (cost, $8.50) We are morning coffee drinkers so we brought our own coffee pot. The rooms do not supply them.

The housekeeping staff are friendly and efficient and a pleasure to see every day.

On Tuesday evenings, at a resort just down the street is a wonderful buffet and dance show. DO NOT MISS THAT!

Transportation on the island, ridiculously easy! You do NOT need a car. Christy gave us a bus schedule at check in but we did not use it. The bus stops right out front and costs $1.25 to ride or you can by a round trip for 2.30. We never waited more than 5 minutes and there seemed to be very many buses moving constantly! I would have been a bit nervous driving as there are very few stoplights and although the speed limit is well marked, few follow it. Plus, I did not understand the road signs. Taxi to the airport was about $25 each way.

We had read about how difficult moving beach chairs to the beautiful beach across the street was. The hotel supplies beach towels and chairs for free! The chairs are lounge-type and yes, a bit cumbersome, but we 50+ ladies handled that just fine. If you aren't up to carrying chairs, there is a stand on the beach that rents them for 8-10 dollars a day.

We read other reviews complaining about the MVC Eagle's small pool so we knew the pool would be small. Yes, it is. However, there is a very uncrowded huge "pool" right across the street called the ocean! The hotel pool is only about 2 feet deep but on days just wanting to sit in the shade in the numerous shady spots on the property, the pool is perfect to just get wet and get out.

The property has no elevator and we had read about the difficult staircases. We were on the first floor but yes, the spiral staircases may have been a bit tricky with luggage coming in and going out. But they are only one story tall!

Overall, this place is a gem with quality, friendly, helpful staff, excellent location, fabulous uncrowded beach, comfortable and clean rooms and I would highly recommend staying there! This is not a luxury resort but for the price, it was perfect. I would definitely stay there again!

We just returned from a week at MVC Eagle Beach in Aruba and wanted to post an e-mail expressing our gratitude to the staff at MVC Eagle Beach.
The rooms were spotless, the food was delicious and the Bud Light was ice cold!
The most impressive thing about this property, besides the wonderful location, is the quality of people who they have working at this facility.
Always happy, smiling and very accommodating to all guests.
From Cristy at the front desk to Smiley the kitchen/bar manager to Holland the bar tender to Lu the quick witted and always smiling waitstaff and to "One Happy Island" the breakfast tender, they were all excellent professionals at what they do and they have made a lasting impression on our lives.
From us to you, please keep doing what you're doing!
We wish you all well and hope to see you again in the future!
Thank you for enlightening our lives!

We stayed at the MVC for five days and they were great! The small yet SUPER friendly staff helped us celebrate my birthday and our anniversary. Christy and the rest of the staff were so friendly, warm and helpful! They were full of surprises! You will NOT get this treatment at a large hotel. We own at a big resort in Aruba and can honestly say that we will be staying at MVC again! Tulip's is AWESOME too – food, prices and service are terrific!!

We recently stayed at the MVC in Aruba and had a wonderful time! The hotel is adorable and the grounds and rooms are immaculate! The ENTIRE staff was just wonderful! Christie from the front desk was fabulous and made sure to help us celebrate my birthday and our anniversary! She had the MVC staff and Tulips restaurant in on our celebration! What great personal service! We highly recommend the MVC. We own at a much bigger resort in Aruba, but would definitely stay here again. Thank you MVC! BTW, Tulips is AWESOME! The food, portions and prices were fantastic!! Best for Dinner and lunch.

We had a fantastic time @ MVC & Tulip -- everyone was SO kind to us and very helpful (which was really appreciated on our first time to Aruba)! It was a very peaceful stay, the food at Tulip was great, and we could not have asked for a better experience. Thank you to Christy, Sasha, Monica, Junny, Juan, Jorge, Amanda, Jamie, Alice, and everyone else from MVC/Tulip -- hope to see you again next year!

On our recent trip to MVC Eagle Beach (August, 2010), our arrival began with an additional adventure. We were met at the door by Christie who was absolutely wonderful and excited that a couple who were staying at the MVC had had a baby. For us this meant that there wasn't a room yet, and Christie was very apologetic about having to book us at another resort for just one night. She had every detail taken care of and her outgoing way of taking a personal interest in our presence made the stay most enjoyable. We will definitely stay there on our next trip!
Our room at MVC was clean and accommodating with a magnificent sunset view, and the continental breakfast was a simple and plentiful spread of fresh breads, cheeses, fruits, and cereal.
Across the street was the beautiful white sand and warm, calm waters of Eagle Beach. We didn't use the small pool, but others enjoyed it and reading in the shade with the cooling breeze.

We found this hotel to be a caring and personable place to stay. The staff was very pleasant and ready to help with any issue. The rooms were clean and quiet and the housekeeping staff very friendly. The food in the restaurant was excellent and the manager was friendly and helpful. The continental breakfast was adequate to start a busy day. The location is great, across the street from a beautiful beach, and quieter than the larger hotels on the island. In short, if you want a small quiet hotel with a really personal touch you cannot do better than mvc Eagle Beach
